Lost in the Fog

Today’s Poetic Asides prompt was to write a poem that reveals something. I wrote a sevenling:

Lost in the Fog

Driving at night in thick fog,
within the beam of my headlights,
I lose my bearings.

With no familiar landmarks
sometimes I forget— where I am,
where I’ve been, where I’m heading

and just how far I’ve come.

    • Thank you, Sanjuktaa. 🙂 It is totally taking me out of the zone for writing haiku, but it is so much fun to do twice a year (April and November), that I couldn’t pass it up. I’ll get back to haiku in December!
