How do you know Cara? we met at the Haiku North America conference in  2011 in Seattle

How long have you been writing poetry? off and on since I was in grade school, but only seriously spending time on it in the last 6 years, since I retired

What kind of poetry do you write? mostly haiku, although I also write some free verse, and occasionally play with formal structures

Please share a poem:

Here are three of my favorite haiku:

a whisper
with no promises left
turning tide

Acorn, No 22, Spring 2009
Haiku 21, 2011

only remembering
the scent of rain
first kiss

Frogpond 34:1, 2011

trying to name
the color of the sun
yellow peony
