wisteria petals
our voices adrift
on the breeze

I wrote this at the beginning of summer, when we celebrated the end of the school year by sitting out under our friends’ pergola and eating pizza. The evening was marked by much talk and laughter,  while wisteria petals dropped onto our pizza. Yesterday, we commemorated the end of summer with these same friends, by hosting a barbeque on our deck, and sharing more talk and laughter.
